Job Title: Personal Care Attendant

Job Summary:

Shores Nursing and Rehab Center is seeking compassionate and dedicated Personal Care Attendants (PCAs) to join our team! As a PCA, you will provide routine direct nursing care to our residents/patients, following successful completion of a paid online training course. We offer on-the-job training, paid training, and support to help you become a Certified CNA.

Responsibilities:

• Treat all residents and patients fairly, with kindness, dignity, and respect

• Provide direct hands-on care in accordance with treatment plans as directed by the Nurse Manager

• Answer resident call lights to address specific needs

• Assist with general activities of daily living and accompany residents to various activities and functions

• Demonstrate proper infection control practices/policies (including handwashing)

• Aide in development of resident treatment plans and complete required care documentation accurately and in a timely manner

• Perform housekeeping tasks to maintain a clean and safe environment for residents

• Facilitate social visits to room-bound residents via FaceTime, Phone, or Skype

• Demonstrate a passion for caring with co-workers, residents, families, and visitors

Requirements:

• Must be at least eighteen (18) years of age

• High School diploma or GED

• Ability to read and communicate at an adequate level to essential job duties

• Ability to treat and care for seniors and their property with dignity and respect

• Ability to communicate with clients in a friendly and congenial manner

• Caregivers must complete our new hire orientation

• Must be able to pass level 2 fingerprinting with an Eligible status

Work Schedule:

• Shift options: Mornings (7am - 3pm), Afternoon (3pm - 11pm), and Nights (11pm - 7am) shifts available to choose from

• Additional hours by request
