Senior React Native Engineer — Video & Performance

Company Description BanglaReels is Bangladesh’s first dedicated platform for vertical micro dramas, designed for modern mobile-first viewing. The company produces premium short-form Bangla dramas with cinematic quality and engaging storytelling. BanglaReels collaborates with writers, directors, producers, actors, and production houses to create original stories for a new generation of audiences. Its mission is to make Bangla stories accessible to viewers across Bangladesh and globally, while shaping the future of vertical entertainment, one story at a time. Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Senior React Native Engineer — Video & Performance role based in Dhaka. The role involves designing, developing, and optimizing React Native applications for vertical video playback, streaming, and interactive features. The engineer will focus on video performance, including startup times, buffering, smooth playback, and responsiveness across a range of mobile devices. Day-to-day responsibilities include collaborating with product, design, and content teams to implement new features, integrating video services and analytics, troubleshooting performance and stability issues, and writing clean, maintainable, and testable code. The role also requires monitoring app performance in production, implementing best practices for scalability and reliability, and mentoring other engineers on React Native and video-related technologies. What you’ll do Own the video player and episode feed in React Native (react-native-video / ExoPlayer-based playback, preloading, caching) Make the app run smoothly on low-end Android phones — optimize startup, scrolling, memory, and frame rate Integrate rewarded video ad SDKs (AdMob / AppLovin or similar) into the "watch ad → unlock episode" flow Guide and review the work of our mid-level React Native engineers What you need 3+ years of React Native with production apps live on the Play Store / App Store Hands‑on experience with video playback in React Native Experience optimizing performance on low-end Android devices (FlatList/FlashList, Hermes, profiling) Comfortable with REST API integration, React Navigation, push notifications Nice to have: ad SDK integration experience, Reanimated, Expo/EAS, CI for mobile #J-18808-Ljbffr BanglaReels
