RN - Float Pool

Registered Nurse (RN)We are seeking an experienced Registered Nurse for various units, including Medical Surgical, Cardiac Telemetry, Stroke Neuro, Step-Down ICU, and ICU. Candidates must have experience in ICU and should be willing to float to Medical Surgical units as needed. Extensive cardiac experience is a requirement.Essential Duties and ResponsibilitiesUtilizes the nursing process and collaborates with interdisciplinary team members to provide comprehensive patient care.Administers prescribed medications and treatments in accordance with nursing standards, policies, and state laws.Documents patient care activities according to established standards.Develops, initiates, and executes individualized patient plans of care, as prescribed by the physician and hospital policies, including education for patients and families.Participates in performance improvement activities within the department or unit, which may include shared governance.Provides clinical expertise and guidance to other units/departments to support the patient's longitudinal care plan.Employs critical thinking to ensure patient safety and enhance the patient experience, appropriately escalating concerns to the relevant supervisory channel.Shift InformationDay shift: 7:00 AM - 7:30 PMHoliday coverage is required.QualificationsMinimum of 2 years of nursing experience.Current Illinois RN license.Certifications: ACLS, BLS/BCLS, and NIHSS.Graduate of an accredited nursing program; education verification is required.
