Assembler 2nd Shift

Assembler: Freeport, Illinois

Our customer in Freeport, Illinois is seeking motivated individuals to join their team. We’re recruiting Assemblers to work full-time on 2nd shift. As an Assembler, you will be responsible for assembling part kits, operating and maintaining setups of conventional, special purpose, and numerical control (NC) machines, and ensuring assemblies meet quality and production standards.

Responsibilities of the Assembler:

• Assembling part kits together.
• Setting up, operating, and dismantling unit assembly and subassembly workstations.
• Operating multiple machines as required and verifying machines run at proper cycle times.
• Securing holding fixtures, cutting tools, and materials on machines.
• Verifying conformance of finished work pieces to specifications.
• Maintaining a safe, clean, and orderly work area while following safety regulations.
• Performing Total Productive Environment (TPE) activities as required.
• Responding to equipment-related issues and reporting them to Team Lead.
• Completing paperwork accurately for traceability and production records.
• Communicating and collaborating with other team members to meet production goals.
• Performing all tasks with attention to quality, efficiency, and safety.

Assembler Requirements and Qualifications:

• High School diploma or GED required.
• Ability to read and maintain accurate records.
• Standing and walking throughout the shift.
• Ability to lift and carry up to 30 lbs. frequently, push/pull as needed.
• Prior experience in assembly or manufacturing preferred.
• Ability to follow written and verbal instructions and interpret basic technical documents.
• Knowledge of or willingness to learn machine operation, equipment setup, and safety procedures.

Pay for Assembler:

Starting at $19/hr.
