License: CST Certifications: NBSTA and DORA certifications required, BLS

Must-Have: Candidates must have a minimum of 6 months current acute care hospital experience as a CST. Ortho/Joint experience is required.

Description: This position is for a travel CST in the Operating Room. The shift schedule is five days a week. The unit consists of 14 operating rooms with a total of 70 staff members. Day shift staffing includes 1 charge nurse, 1 RN, and 1 surgical technologist per operating room. Patient ratios are estimated at 1:1 but not guaranteed. The type of equipment used includes an electronic medical record system. Typical procedures performed in this unit include neurosurgery and transplants, as well as orthopedic and spine surgeries. Preferred skills include level I trauma experience and prior experience with the electronic medical record system. Candidates should be team players with a high level of accountability and expertise and should be self-directed. Flexibility in day or evening hours may be necessary, including 1-2 on-call shifts per week from 5 PM to 7 PM.
