PACU/ Post-Op Registered Nurse PRN

Job ID 89886-147 Date posted 05/28/2026 Midwest Specialty Surgery Center is a free-standing orthopedic outpatient surgery center located on the southwest side of Indianapolis. Midwest specializes in total joint replacement of the hip, knee, and shoulder as well as general orthopedic surgery. We are currently seeking a Registered Nurse to join our team that would work with patients after orthopedic surgery prior to discharge. The ideal candidate will be a highly motivated, fast‑learning professional who can multi‑task effectively, maintain a good attitude and patience. A typical day would include caring for 3‑4 post‑op patients per shift. Primary duties include patient and family education prior to discharge and ensuring the patient is safe to discharge home. Schedule: You will not take call, and will not work weekends or holidays. Hours may vary based on patient needs, typically 8–6:30 p.m., with occasional later shifts. Job Type PRN Qualifications Graduate of an accredited RN School of Nursing. Active RN license in the state. ACLS required. Ability to make decisions based on nursing judgment. Able to prioritize and organize workload to meet the needs of patients and unit. Strong communication skills, verbal and written.
