Materials Planner

Work with engineering to develop and maintain bills of material. Procurement – 50% Obtain data needed to generate purchase requisitions, price and number of units required. Write purchase requisitions. Generate POs Process Goods Received when materials have arrived. Add new Vendors into the purchasing system when necessary. Follow progress of orders, tracking expected and actual delivery dates. Provide concise updates of project material status Where needed, address issues arising from the import of parts. Data Management – 10% Obtain quotes and manage TEAMS folder with quotes. Obtain any needed data sheets/specifications and enter into Agile system. Obtain RoHS Certificates and enter into Agile system. Education & Experience BA or BS in a business or engineering related discipline. Experience with working across multiple software platforms. Skills Excellent organizational and multi-tasking skills. Working Conditions Regular use of a computer and other office equipment is necessary Physical Requirements Sitting for extended periods while working on a computer or conducting meetings. Use of hands and fingers for typing, writing, and handling documents. Occasional lifting of objects or materials up to 20 pounds for administrative tasks. Ability to communicate verbally and in writing.
