Registered Nurse - Labor and Delivery

This position requires 12-hour night shifts from 7 PM to 7 AM.

The Registered Nurse (RN) in Labor and Delivery will deliver high-quality patient care through comprehensive assessment, diagnosis, and individualized patient care plans. The RN will work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team to improve patient outcomes in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities:

• Completes patient assessments using subjective and objective data sources.
• Evaluates assessment data and establishes nursing diagnoses.
• Develops individualized patient care plans based on assessment data and nursing practice standards.
• Delivers patient care as outlined in the care plan and evaluates the effectiveness of interventions.
• Collaborates with the interdisciplinary team on the patient's care plan focusing on wellness and health maintenance.
• Participates in nursing performance improvement initiatives and interdisciplinary research activities.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure:

• NYS RN license or eligibility for a limited permit to practice.
• BLS certification required prior to start; ACLS and NRP required within six months.
• Intermittent Fetal Monitoring certification required within six months of employment; EFM certification within one year.
• A minimum of 2 years of experience in Labor and Delivery nursing.
• Graduate of an accredited RN program; BSN and board certification preferred.
