Position Overview Kings View is seeking a Certified Substance Use Disorder (SUD) Counselor to provide counseling, case management, education, outreach, and treatment planning services for individuals participating in substance use disorder treatment programs. Key Responsibilities Provide individual and group counseling services Conduct assessments and support treatment planning Provide case management and referrals Maintain participant records and documentation Conduct testing and monitor participant compliance Communicate with referral sources and treatment teams Attend staff meetings and trainings What You’ll Bring Required Qualifications Associate Degree in Behavioral/Social Sciences or equivalent coursework Valid California Driver’s License (Class C) Alcohol and Drug Registration and active pursuit of certification through a DHCS-recognized agency Required Experience Two (2) years related experience Familiarity with substance use disorder treatment principles Experience with electronic health record systems Preferred Qualifications CADTP membership encouraged Bilingual English/Spanish preferred Professional Attributes Strong communication and interpersonal skills Organized and detail-oriented Ability to multitask and maintain confidentiality Team-oriented and adaptable Pre-Employment Requirements Background check Drug screening if applicable Live Scan / DOJ fingerprinting if applicable Kings View is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
