Therapist - Physical Therapy Assistant

Job Description

Job Summary:

Provide supportive therapeutic care to patients under the supervision of licensed physical therapists. Assist in implementing treatment plans aimed at improving mobility, strength, and overall function.

Responsibilities:

• Facilitate patient treatments through exercise, massage, gait, and balance training exercises.
• Record and monitor patients' progress, documenting treatment outcomes accurately.
• Communicate patient status and treatment results to supervising physical therapists.
• Assist with patient education regarding therapeutic exercises and home programs.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized treatment environment.
• Follow all established protocols and safety guidelines during patient care.

Qualifications:

• Hold a valid Texas or Compact State License as a Physical Therapy Assistant.
• Possess at least 2 years of experience as a PTA.
• Demonstrate strong clinical skills in therapeutic interventions.
• Exhibit excellent communication and record-keeping abilities.
• Be able to work effectively under supervision in a team setting.
