Job Description

The NBCU Digital Media Sales Local Inventory & Analytics team is seeking a highly analytical and self-motivated Data Analyst to join our team. You will be responsible for creating, maintaining, troubleshooting, and implementing automated and ad-hoc solutions to help with reporting and analytical needs. You will work cross functionally to support the Inventory Team, Account Managers, Sales, Finance, and more.

To be successful, you should be proficient in Excel, Python, and Business Intelligence tools (e.g., Tableau, Domo, Power BI, Looker).

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain complex spreadsheets in Excel, utilizing advanced formulas and functions to support data analysis and reporting.
• Maintain and enhance the existing Python codebase to support reporting, automation, and data workflows.
• Manage and maintain Business Intelligence tools, including Tableau, to support reporting and analytics needs.
• Troubleshoot and resolve reporting errors and data discrepancies within the Client-facing DOMO Dashboard.
• Automate custom reports for stakeholders using Python to improve efficiency and scalability.
• Develop additional reports and analyses on an ad-hoc basis and support evolving business needs as required.
• Develop and maintain clear documentation and SOPs to support consistent data processes, knowledge sharing, and operational continuity.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent expereince
• 2+ years in data analytics, business intelligence, data operations, or a related analytical role.
• Highly skilled in Excel, including INDEX/MATCH, XLOOKUP, pivot tables, nested/complex formulas, and data reconciliation techniques.
• Proficiency in Python, with extensive experience using pandas for data cleaning, manipulation, transformation, and analysis.
• Deep working knowledge of Tableau, including Level of Detail (LOD) expressions, calculated fields, and parameters.
• Familiarity with DOMO, including Magic ETL, Beast Mode, Dataflows, Views, calculated fields, and more.
• Familiarity using Git and GitHub for version control and collaborative development workflows.
• Familiarity working within Jira or a similar ticketing/project management platform

Eligibility Requirements

• Able to regularly support Eastern Time business hours.
• Must have unrestricted work authorization to work in the United States.
• Must be 18 years or older.

Qualifications

• Experience working with digital advertising platforms such as FreeWheel, Google Ad Manager, Operative, or similar systems.
• Familiarity with digital advertising concepts and terminology such as impressions, video completion rates, CPM’s, pacing, inventory, audience targeting, etc.
• Experience developing or maintaining automated data pipelines and scheduled reporting processes.
• Strong troubleshooting, investigation, and root-cause analysis skills.
• Familiarity with relational data concepts.
• Demonstrated curiosity and willingness to continuously learn new tools and technologies.
• Self-motivated with the ability to manage priorities and work independently.

Fully Remote: This position has been designated as fully remote, meaning that the position is expected to contribute from a non-NBCUniversal worksite, most commonly an employee’s residence.

Salary range: $62,000 - $72,000
