Tech - Polysomnographer/Sleep Tech

$1707.48/week –

Job Summary:
Perform polysomnography testing and monitoring to assist in the diagnosis and treatment of sleep disorders. Ensure patient safety and comfort while adhering to clinical policies and procedures.

Responsibilities:

• Prepare adolescent, adult, and geriatric patients and equipment for sleep studies.

• Monitor polysomnograms throughout test sessions, documenting findings accurately per policy.

• Maintain and calibrate sleep monitoring equipment, ensuring proper functionality.

• Communicate effectively with patients and team members regarding procedures and results.

• Adhere to safety guidelines and maintain compliance with certification standards.

• Document patient data and observations thoroughly for clinical review.

Qualifications:

• Possess a minimum of 2 years of recent experience in sleep disorder testing.

• Hold current American Heart Association BLS certification.

• Certified or registered with the BRPT as a Registered Polysomnographic Technologist (RPSGT) or equivalent.

• Demonstrate strong written and verbal communication skills.

• Have knowledge of sleep activity, abnormalities, movement arousals, and respirations.

• Able to work scheduled overnight shifts, including major and minor holidays.
