Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Medical Surgical Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Day Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum 1 year of Medical Surgical experience required License: South Carolina or Multi-State/Compact State RN License required Certifications: Basic Life Support (BLS) required Must-Have: - Experience with Epic charting system - Ability to work in a fast-paced environment - Strong communication skills Description: The role involves working on an adult acute care unit with a focus on patients with co-occurring medical and behavioral health conditions. The unit consists of two sides: a 6-bed acute care side and a 12-bed side for behavioral health integration. On the acute care side, there will be a staffing ratio of 1 nurse to 3 patients. On the behavioral health side, the ratio will be 1 nurse to 4 patients. The unit will have a free float charge nurse to assist on both sides. Nurses will manage a variety of patient care needs including medication administration, wound care, and telemetry monitoring. Interdisciplinary support will be available, including physical therapy and social services. Travelers should be aware that they may be assigned to emergency response teams during hurricane season. This position requires a dedicated professional prepared to provide high-quality care to a diverse patient population.
