Registered Nurse (RN) - Medical Surgical Unit

Location: Lewisville, TX

Assignment Duration: This is a 13-week contract position.

Schedule: 7A-7P, with weekend shifts every other week.

Job Description: As a Registered Nurse in the Medical Surgical Unit, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality care to patients in a family-focused environment. You will work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team to provide state-of-the-art healthcare.

Responsibilities:

• Provide comprehensive nursing assessments and develop individualized care plans.
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians.
• Monitor and document patient progress, adjusting care plans as necessary.
• Educate patients and families about health conditions and care options.
• Collaborate with healthcare team members to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
• Participate in quality improvement initiatives and uphold safety standards.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure:

• Must possess a valid RN license.
• Minimum of 2 years of nursing experience in a medical/surgical setting.
• BLS certification required; ACLS certification preferred.
• Experience with electronic documentation systems, preferably Meditech.
