With 35 years of experience, we’re committed to delivering reliable service, innovative solutions, and lasting value, centered on our people, our customers, and our communities.
Job Summary:

Why AFD:
- Discount on fuel – because fuel is what we do!
- Educational assistance – apprenticeship programs available.
- EFAP program – we care about your whole self.

- Install and test new plumbing on tank set ups at customer sites.
- Analyze electrical and mechanical problems on fuel equipment and repair as required.
- Perform housekeeping activities to maintain a professional image and safe operations.
- Travel from site to site as required, in a supplied company truck.
- Accurately complete all necessary forms – work orders, inventory, checklists, reports, etc.
- Communicate with customers and explain technical issues in a non-technical manner.
- Stock and track parts inventory in your vehicle to ensure materials are billed to the jobs.
What you need to succeed: (Required education and experience)
- Mechanically inclined person who enjoys a variety of tasks and is willing to learn.
- 5+ years’ experience in a shop/field or mechanical environment.
- Clean driving record, pass A&D test.

- A positive, willing-to-learn attitude and good communication will go a long way!
- Ability to work outdoors in all types of weather; daily travel, lift 50 lbs., climb ladders.
Extra skills and Knowledge
- Petroleum Mechanic certification is an asset but not required.
As part of the interview process, all candidates will undergo a successful completion of pre-employment requirements, including a 50-lb. fitness test, criminal record check, and employment reference verification, and an offer will be contingent upon the successful pre-employment checks.
