Position: ICU RN

Day 3x12-Hour Shift: 07:00 AM - 07:30 PM

Job Description

This role is within a General ICU/PCU division, which includes floating between units as required. The position involves working 12-hour night shifts, providing critical care to patients.

Requirements

• 18 months of ICU nursing experience in a large hospital (>300 beds)
• Epic EMR experience (mandatory)
• No first-time travelers

Certifications

• Required:
  • BLS
  • ACLS
• Preferred:
  • CCRN
  • CPI
  • TNCC

Skills

• 2 years of experience in IV start
• Telemetry experience
• Conscious sedation administration
• Ventilator management

Unit Information

Patient Ratios: 1:2 or 1:1

Common Patient Diagnoses Include:

• Sepsis
• Respiratory failure
• Traumatic brain injury
• Neurosurgical interventions
• Multi-system organ failure
• Stroke
• GI bleeding
• Cardiac/respiratory arrest
• Complex vascular surgery
• Multi-system trauma

Additional Unit Details

• Scheduling Type: Self-scheduled
• Minimum Weekend Shifts: Every other weekend, with the possibility of more based on unit needs

Licensure Requirements

An active Oregon CNA license must be in hand at the time of submission. Pending Oregon CNA licenses will not be accepted. Expired licenses are not acceptable.

Note on Traveler Requirements

Travelers may be required to float within the facility or to nearby affiliated facilities. Refusal to float may result in contract cancellation. Former employees are ineligible for travel assignments until six months have passed since their termination date.
