Occupational Therapist

The Registered Occupational Therapist will provide evaluations and treatment to assigned patients, helping them achieve their maximum functional performance and improve their ability to use learned skills within the community and their capabilities.

• Conduct and document occupational therapy evaluations according to departmental standards.
• Maintain timely and accurate patient records and reports.
• Develop and administer individualized treatment programs.
• Direct support staff in achieving patient functional goals.
• Provide preventive therapy to maintain functional abilities.
• Educate patients and families on transfers, safety techniques, energy conservation, joint protection, and personal care.
• Develop home programs and instruct patients and families in carrying them out.
• Provide therapy to adult patients with learning disabilities as appropriate.
• Participate in patient support groups and interdisciplinary activities.
• Assist with adaptive equipment as needed.

• Bachelor's, Master's, or Doctorate degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program.
• Current Occupational Therapy registration/licensure.
• Kansas OT license or compact license required.
• Knowledge of SNF patient care and applicable professional, state, and federal standards.
• New graduates are encouraged to apply.
• Experience with Net Health and/or PCC is preferred.

• Full-time, Monday-Friday.
• Employee typically determines their work hours between 6:00 AM and 7:00 PM based on patient needs.
• Alternative schedule may be available by working a weekend day in exchange for a weekday off.
• No on-call or night-shift requirement.
