Mirada3D brings industrial equipment to life through 3D visualization, giving manufacturers the tools to turn complex machinery into unforgettable experiences. We work with manufacturers, engineering firms, and equipment OEMs across four service lines: Physical scale models: trade-show and sales models built from client engineering data, engineered for durability and shipped worldwide 3D animation: technical animation that shows how equipment actually works Technical drafting & engineering services: 2D-to-3D CAD conversion, drawing package generation, and model cleanup delivered through our international drafting team We're a small, fast-moving company with real engineering depth. The work is technical, the clients are technical, and we're looking for someone who can hold their own in both directions.

THE ROLE

This is a client-facing operations role, not a drafting seat. You won't be modeling all day, but you do need to understand what you're looking at when a client sends over a set of drawings, and you need to be able to translate between what the client wants and what our engineering team needs to execute. You’ll own the flow of a project from intake to delivery: scoping it, getting it into the queue, keeping the team on schedule, running revisions back and forth, and keeping the client informed the whole way through. You’ll report directly to the founder and manage our international engineering and drafting team day to day.

WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING

Client Communication & Intake Run client intake: gather requirements, source files, drawings, and reference material Translate client requests into clear, executable scopes for the engineering team Manage revision cycles: collect feedback, clarify ambiguity before it reaches the team, and communicate changes back cleanly Attend client meetings (video and occasional in-person), own the follow-ups, and keep email communication timely and professional Engineering & Drafting Operations Coordinate multiple concurrent drawing packages and 3D packages through the technical drafting service line Review deliverables for completeness and quality before they go to the client Manage DFM (design for manufacturability) operations for scale model generation, coordinating model prep, part splitting, and manufacturing readiness with the production team Track scope, timelines, and change orders; flag anything that shifts cost or schedule Team & Project Management Manage our international engineering and drafting team on a day-to-day basis Own the project management system (ClickUp): task creation, assignment, deadlines, status hygiene Build and maintain simple processes and SOPs so the same work gets easier the second time Keep the founder informed with clear status reporting

WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR

Required Working understanding of CAD software: Autodesk Fusion 360, Inventor, and/or AutoCAD. You don't need to be a production drafter, but you should be able to open a model, read a drawing set, and speak the language, and make a few simple changes/updates. Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings (dimensions, tolerances, GD&T basics, assembly structure) Excellent written and verbal communication: you'll be the voice of the company to technical clients Sharp attention to detail; you catch the missing dimension, the wrong revision number, the file that didn't get updated Quick learner who's comfortable being handed something unfamiliar and figuring it out Comfortable managing people and holding a team to deadlines Organized and self-directed: you'll be running the day-to-day without someone checking your work Preferred (not required) Prior project management, engineering coordination, or drafting experience Background in mechanical engineering, manufacturing, industrial design, or a related technical field (degree or hands‑on) Familiarity with ClickUp, Asana, Monday, or similar PM tools Experience working with distributed or offshore teams across time zones Exposure to additive manufacturing, laser cutting, or general fabrication processes Experience with revision control / PDM systems (Vault, Fusion Manage, etc.) What Matters Most We would rather hire a sharp, technically curious person who learns fast and communicates clearly than someone with a longer resume who doesn't. DETAILS

Engagement:Contractor (1099) to start, you're responsible for your own taxes and insurance. Open to starting part-time and scaling into full-time. This role can convert to a W-2 position.
