Training and Development Specialist

The LPI Training & Development Specialist (LPITDS) is responsible for creating, planning, and administering programs that improve the skills and knowledge of Liberty Power Innovations. The LPITDS is responsible for LPI training curriculum at all levels, training schedules, and communicating LPI training requirements within LPI departments. The LPITDS works closely with LPI management to align standards, document equipment improvements, and review efficiencies of the LPI to drive overall improvements. Qualifications & Requirements: Must be willing to live within a Liberty District. 2 + years experience teaching oil and gas-related classes in person. 4 + years of oil and gas experience. Strong mechanical and electrical knowledge as it pertains to oil and gas equipment. Analytical skills - evaluates training programs, methods, and materials and chooses those that best fit each situation. Creativity - be creative when developing training materials. The individual may need to think of and implement new approaches, such as new technology when evaluating existing training methods. Instructional Skills - must be able to adapt his/her methods to meet the needs of a particular group. Speaking & Interpersonal Skills – must communicate information clearly and facilitate learning by diverse audiences. Computer Skills. Operating systems, office suites, presentation software, spreadsheets, communication and collaboration tools, analytics, graphic design, email communication, and data visualization. Assesses training needs through surveys, employee interviews, managers or instructors consultations. Designs and creates training manuals, online learning modules, and course materials. Reviews training materials from a variety of sources and chooses appropriate materials. Assists in the evaluation of training programs. Performs administrative tasks, such as monitoring costs, scheduling classes, setting up systems and equipment, and coordinating enrollment. Selects, develops, and trains new hires in the LPI training group. Presents training and development programs using various forms and formats, including group discussion, lectures, simulations, and videos. Maintains records of training and development activities, attendance, results of tests and assessments, and retraining requirements. Assesses training materials prepared by instructors. Evaluates program effectiveness through assessments, surveys, and feedback. Maintains knowledge of the latest trends in training and development.
