Position Overview

The client is seeking an experienced ApplinX Web Developer to support the continued maintenance and modernization of web development solutions implemented within the JAWS and MAVERICS legacy applications.

The consultant will work closely with MDHS technical staff to maintain existing ApplinX solutions, implement necessary changes and limited enhancements, perform testing, and support successful production implementation. The role will also involve knowledge transfer to ensure MDHS staff can effectively support and maintain the solutions.

The ideal candidate will have strong hands-on experience with ApplinX web development, Java, modern web technologies, integration methods, and legacy application modernization.

Key Responsibilities

• Maintain and support ApplinX web development solutions implemented within JAWS and MAVERICS legacy applications.

• Develop and implement limited enhancements as business needs arise.

• Design, configure, and support ApplinX-related environments and applications according to established best practices.

• Work with MDHS stakeholders and technical teams to gather, analyze, and formulate business requirements.

• Incorporate requested changes and perform appropriate testing prior to implementation.

• Support production implementation and troubleshooting of ApplinX solutions.

• Work with ApplinX servers, Designer seats, applications, web applications, and NATAPX hosts.

• Collaborate effectively with MDHS staff throughout the development and implementation lifecycle.

• Provide knowledge transfer and technical guidance to MDHS personnel.

• Apply Agile software development practices where appropriate.

• Develop well-performing and structured web applications using modern web technologies.

• Provide strong technical communication through written documentation, verbal communication, and presentations.

Required Qualifications & Experience

Candidates must demonstrate the following qualifications on their resume:

• 7+ years of Java development experience.

• Hands-on experience developing and maintaining ApplinX solutions.

• Experience working with ApplinX version 11 or later.

• Experience gathering and formulating business requirements directly with customers or stakeholders.

• Knowledge of Agile software development methodologies.

• Strong working knowledge of modern web technologies, including:HTML CSS JavaScript jQuery

• Experience with integration methods and web services.

• Programming experience in Java and/or Microsoft .NET.

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to structure and develop high-performing websites and applications.

• Excellent written, verbal, and presentation communication skills.
