Radiology - CT Tech

CT TechnologistThe CT Technologist is a vital member of the healthcare team, responsible for providing timely diagnostic services to both inpatient and outpatient populations under the direction of a Radiologist and departmental protocols. This role requires proficiency in routine diagnostic CT scanning procedures including, but not limited to, CT of the head/brain, neck, thorax, spine, abdomen/pelvis, extremities, and biopsy/drainage procedures.Key ResponsibilitiesPerform routine diagnostic CT scanning procedures while adhering to departmental protocols.Demonstrate knowledge of CT system processing and surgical/sterile procedures.Administer contrast media for studies, conducting both with and without contrast as required.Maintain an understanding of cross-sectional anatomy relevant to various diagnostic studies.Initiate and maintain intravenous (IV) access as necessary.Equipment UtilizedThe technologist will work with several types of imaging equipment, including:Philips 128 Ingenuity (ER scanner, primary for nights)Philips Brilliance 64Philips Big Bore 16QualificationsGraduate of an accredited AMA school.Registered with the American Registry of Radiologic Technology (ARRT).Licensed by the state as a general radiographer.Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.A minimum of two years of experience in CT imaging is required.ScheduleThis position is primarily scheduled for night shifts from Sunday to Wednesday, 8:00 PM to 6:30 AM, with the potential for floating to different departments as needed.LocationPosition available in the city of City, State.
