Position Description

Skill Set Requirements

• Must have: BLS certification (candidates without this certification will not be considered).
• Preferred Skills: 1 year of med/surg nursing experience, Meditech experience.

Typical Procedures Performed on the Unit

• IV starts and therapy
• Wound care
• Patient assessment and implementation of interventions
• Use and management of drainage devices
• Central line management
• Blood product administration

Unit Guidelines and Policies

Unit guidelines and policies will be addressed upon arrival to the unit. Registered nurses should be familiar with National Patient Safety Goals.

Dress Code

• Scrub Color: Navy
• Closed-toe shoes are required.
• Tattoos should be covered appropriately.
