Work Environment

This position is remote, providing you with the comfort and convenience of working from home while maintaining active communication and collaboration with our dedicated team. Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct thorough assessments to evaluate the intensity, frequency, and duration of mood disorder symptoms in clients.
  • Develop personalized treatment plans by engaging with clients to identify their needs and treatment goals.
  • Employ evidence-based therapeutic techniques such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) to facilitate positive change.
  • Educate clients and their families about mood disorders, treatment options, and effective self-care strategies.
  • Monitor client progress and make informed adjustments to treatment plans as necessary.
  • Collaborate with psychiatrists and other healthcare professionals to ensure a holistic approach to client care.
  • Stay updated on current research and advancements in mood disorders to enhance therapeutic effectiveness.
  • Maintain accurate and confidential documentation in compliance with legal and ethical standards.
  • Participate in case consultations and team meetings to discuss client progress and share insights.
  • Advocate for clients' mental health needs and work to reduce the stigma surrounding mental health issues.

Patient Population / Client Focus

As a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist at Old Town Behavioral Health Services, you will primarily work with individuals suffering from mood disorders, including depression, bipolar disorder, and anxiety. Your expertise will be valuable to community members dealing with complex emotional struggles, often exacerbated by their experiences in challenging life situations. You will focus on understanding their unique narratives and providing tailored therapeutic interventions that foster healing and resilience.

Qualifications

  • A current and active state license as a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT).
  • A master’s degree in Marriage and Family Therapy, or a related field.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, enabling you to form secure and trusting relationships with clients.
  • Demonstrated empathy and a nonjudgmental attitude, essential for supporting clients navigating difficult experiences.
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills to effectively manage a diverse caseload and administrative duties.

Preferred Experience

  • Experience working with populations facing complex challenges, including those affected by homelessness, trauma, or addiction.

  • A history of collaborative work with multidisciplinary teams to improve client outcomes.

Compensation and Benefits

The annual salary for this position ranges from USD 70,000 to 90,000, commensurate with qualifications and experience.
