Custodian, 2nd ShiftQualification Requirements:Knowledge in the area of cleaning and the appropriate use of equipment and/or chemicals assigned for specific dutiesSome aptitude for repairingPhysical ability for lifting and carrying up to 50 lbs.Demonstrate initiative for cleaning assigned areasAccept oral or written communication from supervisorAbility to communicate with co-workers and professional staffReports To: Head Custodian, Facilities ManagerJob Goal:To thoroughly learn the specific duties of the positionTo maintain a clean, healthy environment for students, faculty, and visitorsTo keep the building clean and in good repairTo maintain the groundsEssential Duties and Responsibilities:Vacuum carpeted areasDry mop and wet mop appropriate areasClean all lavatory fixturesCollect and dispose of refuseClean chalk boards, chalk trays, and white boards as neededClean all glass areas including mirrors and window sillsRemove snow/ice from sidewalksRemove refuse, mow, and trim grass areas immediate to the buildingPrepare gymnasium and other areas for use by outside groupsLock all interior and exterior doors before leavingKeep all unoccupied classrooms and custodial closets lockedAssist the head custodian in making repairsRemove any spills or stains from floors, stairwells, and hallwaysDust bookshelves and counter tops in classroomsClean classrooms nightlyClean gym areaClean locker roomsPerform all other related duties as assigned by the head custodian or building principalIf you are offered a position with the Littlestown Area School District, please be advised that the following information will be required before you are able to begin working:State Police Clearance (Act 34) - complete online and print your results immediatelyChild Abuse Clearance (Act 151) - submit electronicallyFBI Fingerprints (Act 114) - or call View phone number on click.appcast.io use service code 1KG6XNSchool Health Record - includes physical & tb test from within a yearAct 24 (PDE Form 6004) - Arrest/Conviction ReportPA Sexual Misconduct/Abuse Disclosure Release - A separate form must be completed for: 1.
