Job Description Are you a highly skilled Industrial Electrician Compensation: Starting pay rate from $31.98 depending on experience - paid weekly Electrician available shift : 7AM to 3:30pm M-F This team member is responsible for electrical support for the Mooresville, NC site. This position reports to the Maintenance Manager. With limited electrical support in-house, this position plays a key role for the team in troubleshooting more advanced electrical problems or installations. Responsibilities: Safety Maintain awareness of all safety policies and procedures for the job Perform all work in accordance with established safety procedures, including lock-out/tag-out. Remain aware of surroundings and obtain knowledge of all required PPE for the job Keep work area clean and organized Report any safety concern, risk, hazard, near miss, or injury immediately to the appropriate supervision on shift Ensure each task is done safely report any suggestions or improvements to your manager Quality Follow all guidelines for GMP Report any concerns of building or equipment failures that may lead to quality defects of product Support timely resolution of any building or equipment failures Productivity Performs planned electrical maintenance on all equipment and machinery for the thermoforming process to ensure the integrity of electrical systems Diagnoses, troubleshoots and repairs/maintain all equipment and machinery for the thermoforming process including blenders, crystallizers, dryers, extruders, formers, trim presses, conveyors, and grinders Troubleshoots AC and DC drives and motors; PC and PLC controlled systems; heaters, thermocouples, and heat controllers; safety circuits Modifies new and existing equipment for performance improvements and upgrades Uses Maintenance Connection to record and close work orders accurately and in a timely manner Responsible for ensuring housekeeping in area(s) of responsibility are safe, clean and tidy Follows all Company established rules and policies Adheres to all Safety rules and regulations Analytical, problem solving, project management, strong technical/functional skills, customer service, interpersonal skills, oral communication, written communications, teamwork, judgment, organized, mechanical aptitude, electrical aptitude, detail oriented Requirements and Qualifications HS Diploma or equivalency; 2-year Electro-Mechanical technical degree preferred 3-5 years related experience Must be knowledgeable in electrical systems, hydraulics, pneumatics, blueprint reading (mechanical/electrical), understanding of welding and fabrication Previous electrical experience with troubleshooting capabilities; Previous mechanical experience with troubleshooting capabilities Must have knowledge of PLC and PC controls Prefer experience using Allen-Bradley, Siemens, Mitsubishi and Omron systems Must have own tools and be able to use them safely and effectively The ability to work with others effectively as a part of a team is essential. Flexibility to work overtime and off shifts as needed. Must be able to arrive at work on time and consistently to have long term success in the role Physical Requirements: Most routine tasks are performed while standing or walking or sitting. Reaching, handling, fingering, and feeling are constantly present while performing job duties. Frequently turning body from 0 to a maximum of 180 degrees. Good eyesight is essential for constant inspection of product. Seeing both near and far, color vision and depths of field are all required. Vision corrected with glasses or contact lenses is acceptable. Frequent walking is required. Distance can be over 500 feet. Frequent climbing stairs to our parts supplies. Occasional balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, or talking may be required. Lifting up to 50 pounds is required. Pushing and pulling is occasionally required. Controls required include hands/arms (both) and feet/legs (both). Environment includes inside work 100%, teamwork 100%, can be near or close to others. The production floor can be in excess of 95 degrees during the summer months. Vibration can occasionally be present from product shakers or grinders. There is a mild plastic smell at all times. Occasional smell of battery fluid during battery changes on the lift. Personal Protective Equipment required includes safety glasses and gloves, hearing protection and proper footwear, hair nets are required out on production floor and warehouse.
