Review engineering drawings, specifications, and bills of materials (BOMs) to determine procurement requirements. Solicit quotations, analyze bids, and negotiate pricing, delivery terms, and payment conditions with suppliers. Identify and develop relationships with qualified vendors and manufacturers. Manage the purchase order (PO) lifecycle from creation to delivery, including tracking, expediting, and resolving any supply chain issues. Maintain accurate procurement records, including cost data, supplier performance, and compliance documentation. Ensure all procurement activities comply with company policies, quality standards, and applicable regulatory requirements. Contribute to inventory planning and forecasting efforts, ensuring optimal stock levels of critical components. Assist with cost reduction initiatives and sourcing strategies to improve efficiency and reduce spending. Liaise with internal teams to confirm receipt and quality of delivered items. Qualifications High school diploma or GED required. Bachelor's degree in supply chain, engineering, or a closely related field preferred. Minimum 3 years of experience in technical buying (or equivalent combination of experience and education). Physical Requirements Must be able to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Must be able to perform repetitive motion, reaching, kneeling, walking, standing or sitting for several hours at a time. Employees must be able to maintain essential functions with reasonable accommodation. Additional Requirements Valid state driver’s license required and ability to obtain and maintain coverage by Tessera’s insurance. Access to a federal military installation requires a REALID-compliant driver’s license or acceptable alternative.
