Allergy and Immunology Nurse Practitioner

Position Overview
Our organization is in search of a per diem Nurse Practitioner to join the Allergy and Immunology Division, focusing on delivering comprehensive care to pediatric patients with allergic disorders. This position allows for collaboration within a multidisciplinary team, ensuring high-quality, family-oriented care for children and adolescents.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Deliver direct patient care in an outpatient allergy clinic environment.
• Assess, diagnose, and manage a range of allergic conditions, including:
  • Asthma
  • Non-allergic hives
  • Food allergies
  • Environmental allergies
  • Medication allergies
  • Eczema
• Create and execute evidence-based treatment strategies.
• Work alongside physicians, nurses, and other team members to ensure coordinated patient care.
• Provide education to patients and their families about diagnoses, treatment options, and disease management.
• Keep precise and timely clinical records.

Essential Qualifications:
Education

• A Master’s degree in Nursing is required.

Experience

• A minimum of two years of experience as a pediatric Nurse Practitioner is required.
• Experience in allergy care is highly preferred.
• Strong communication and interpersonal abilities.
• Proven capability to thrive in a collaborative team setting.
• Excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, and follow-through.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Proficiency in Portuguese or Spanish is preferred.

Licensure and Certifications

• Current certification as a Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP) or Pediatric Nurse Practitioner (PNP) is required.
• Active Massachusetts APRN license is required.
• Current DEA and MCSR licenses are required.
• Current BLS certification for Healthcare Providers is required.

Schedule and Location:

• 16 hours per week, with 8 hours on-site in North Dartmouth on Mondays and 8 hours remote on another day each week from 8 AM to 5 PM.
