Role 2717 Partners, LP is looking to hire an Analyst in the San Francisco office, working alongside Managing Partner and Analyst. Firm Overview 2717 Partners, LP is an investment firm that Edward Robson founded in 2023. The firm’s investment strategy seeks to build on its two principals' complementary private equity and hedge fund skill sets with a flexible mandate. The firm's core strategy is to invest capital in a concentrated portfolio of high-quality small and mid-cap technology companies using private equity style underwriting and diligence. We take an active and constructive role in our investments with a high degree of engagement with our portfolio companies' management and board of directors. The fund has a deep bench of former operators with experience focusing on the key drivers of returns, including product, distribution, finance and operations, and capital allocation. Edward Robson (CIO) previously worked at Siris Capital Group, where he focused on take-private investments in technology, financial services, and tech-enabled services. The firm’s flexible mandate allows it to invest across the capital structure and in control transactions (take privates and carve-outs) led by the firm or in partnership with private equity firms. Analyst Requirements More than four years of total work experience, including a mix of investment banking, equity research, hedge funds, and/or private equity Multiple years of deep, fundamental investing experience in technology An agile self-starter who can thrive in a fast-paced environment and feels comfortable navigating complex issues that require bringing others along Advanced knowledge of accounting and finance Extreme ability to multi-task and execute a wide range of assignments on tight timelines Deep intellectual curiosity and the desire to work at an entrepreneurial firm Detail-oriented executor with a strong work ethic Key Responsibilities Identify investment opportunities based on bottoms-up fundamental research Develop investment theses that can guide investment decision‑making Conduct quantitative and qualitative analyses for potential investment opportunities Oversee completion of financing activities Lead meetings and complete analysis and recommendation of financing structure and terms Manage third-party due-diligence vendors, including accounting, commercial, and legal Ensure effective completion of transaction negotiations and closing processes #J-18808-Ljbffr
