Job Type: Temporary / Contract (Temp-to-Hire opportunities available)

Shift Options: Day, Evening, and Weekend shifts available (Overtime as needed)

Hourly Rate: $17.00 – $22.00/hour (Depending on shift and experience)

Role Overview

PrideStaff, a nationally recognized staffing company, is actively recruiting on behalf of a premier logistics and distribution client to find dedicated Temporary Warehouse Associates for their busy Tacoma facilities. In this fast-paced, hands-on role, you will be an essential link in the supply chain—managing inventory, prepping orders for shipping, and keeping the facility organized. Key Responsibilities

Order Fulfillment & Shipping

• Picking & Packing: Accurately pull items based on customer orders using RF scanners, pick lists, and Warehouse Management Systems (WMS). Pack, label, wrap, and flat-pack goods securely for outbound shipment.
• Staging & Loading: Prepare, assemble, and stage packing lists. Wrap pallets accurately and load outbound trucks efficiently while ensuring freight is secure.
• Value-Added Services: Perform light assembly, repacking, labeling, and ticketing as required by specific client accounts.

Receiving & Inventory

• Inbound Freight: Unload incoming trailers, verify manifest accuracy, sort shipments, and inspect goods for any damage.
• Inventory Management: Assist in daily stock checks, cycle counts, and stock replenishment to ensure system records match the physical shelves.
• Material Handling: Operate manual and powered equipment (hand trucks, dollies, pallet jacks) to move materials safely across the warehouse floor. (Electric Pallet Jack/Forklift training provided on-site if needed).

Safety & Compliance

• Facility Upkeep: Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment by keeping aisles clear of debris (shrink wrap, pallets, cardboard).
• Equipment Maintenance: Perform basic visual inspections on warehouse equipment before use.
• Safety Protocols: Strictly adhere to all safety procedures and policies, wear required Personal Protective Equipment (including closed-toe footwear), and report hazards immediately.

Required Qualifications & Skills

• Experience: Previous warehouse, distribution center, or logistics experience is preferred, but entry-level candidates with a strong work ethic are welcome to apply (training provided).
• Tech Savvy: Familiarity with RF scanners or basic inventory software is a major plus.
• Reliability: A proven track record of punctuality, consistent attendance, and the ability to report on time as scheduled.
• Soft Skills: Strong problem-solving abilities, excellent time management, and the ability to comprehend and react quickly to verbal commands and safety warnings.

Physical Demands & Work Environment

• Lifting: Must be able to consistently lift, carry, and maneuver up to 50 pounds.
• Movement: Requires walking, standing, bending, stooping, crouching, and reaching for the entire duration of the shift.
• Environment: Warehouse temperatures fluctuate with the seasons; expect exposure to both warm and cold environments, as well as elevated noise levels from machinery and operations.
