Compensation: $200,000 - $280,000 + 0.4% - 0.8% equity
Employment Type: Full-time

Dots is building global payments infrastructure for the future of work, moving about $1.5B a year to more than 1 million payees. Revenue grew 400%+ in the past year and the company reached profitability in 2025.
Dots (Y Combinator S21) raised an $8.9M Series A led by DCM, bringing total funding to $14.8M+. It has offices in New York (8th Ave) and San Francisco (Mariposa St).
The RoleDots is looking for senior and staff engineers who take risks, iterate, and want a say in every decision. You will design and build scalable, production-ready systems that move money at high throughput, set a high bar, and help drive the company's vision to change how money moves.
What You Will Do- Design and build scalable backend systems for high-throughput money movement.
- Move fast and build pragmatic systems, then iterate on them.
- Work with large volumes of data.
- Launch and iterate on applications and large software projects.
- 7+ years designing and building scalable, production-ready systems
- Experience with large data volumes and high-throughput backend design
- A track record of launching and iterating on apps or large software projects
- Comfort moving fast in an ambiguous environment
- FinTech or finance experience
- AWS and Kubernetes infrastructure experience
- Python and React at scale
