Foreclosure Specialist

$23 - $28 per hour

Our client is a fourth-generation creditor’s rights law firm established in 1935. Today, they serves clients across 18 states and Puerto Rico, with extensive experience representing mortgage lenders and servicers in foreclosure, bankruptcy, evictions, REO, and other mortgage default matters. Our client is seeking a Foreclosure Specialist to support in mortgage default servicing operations. This is a client-facing, on-site position that will work directly with client representatives while coordinating with personnel and other business partners. The ideal candidate is highly organized, detail-oriented, comfortable working with large volumes of information, and able to follow established procedures while identifying discrepancies, missing information, and potential issues. No prior foreclosure experience is required; training will be provided on mortgage default processes, documentation, systems, and client requirements. Position Overview The Foreclosure Specialist provides administrative and processing support for clients across mortgage default and foreclosure-related activities. This role works directly with client representatives and personnel to ensure assigned matters are processed accurately, timely, and in accordance with established procedures and client requirements. The position will be based at the client's site in either Dallas, TX or Jacksonville, FL and will serve as a direct representative within the client's operational environment. This role may support activities involving foreclosure and bankruptcy, post-sale activities, and other default servicing functions. Responsibilities include reviewing and processing documentation, maintaining case information, monitoring deadlines, researching discrepancies, supporting quality and compliance requirements, and escalating issues as appropriate. Key Responsibilities Default Processing & Case Management Process assigned mortgage default, foreclosure, bankruptcy, and post-sale matters in accordance with established procedures and client requirements. Review, prepare, and maintain loan, case, property, and legal documentation and ensure accurate information is maintained in applicable systems. Monitor deadlines and work queues, gather required information, resolve outstanding items, and escalates discrepancies or issues as needed. Research, Financial & Quality Processing Process high-volume documents, transactions, and account information, including payment histories, invoices, fees, taxes, and other financial or property-related information as applicable. Research loan, property, title, and account information to identify and resolve discrepancies and support assigned processing activities. Perform quality-control reviews and follow applicable client, investor, regulatory, and privacy requirements while identifying potential operational or financial risks. Client & Team Support Work directly with client representatives and personnel to obtain, verify, and clarify information and resolve outstanding requirements. Communicate professionally with clients, attorneys, vendors, and internal departments while providing timely updates and responding to routine requests. Collaborate with team members and other operational groups to ensure matters are processed accurately and efficiently and escalates issues requiring additional guidance. Reporting, Training & Process Improvement Maintain accurate tracking of assigned work, case status, deadlines, transactions, and outstanding requirements and assist with reporting, audits, and special projects. Participate in training and develop working knowledge of mortgage default, foreclosure, bankruptcy, post-sale, and related servicing processes. Identify opportunities to improve accuracy, efficiency, and workflow and assist with process improvements, system changes, and other operational initiatives. Required Skills & Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent. Strong attention to detail, organization, and ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines. Excellent written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills. Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with the ability to identify discrepancies and escalates issues appropriately. Proficiency with Microsoft Office and computer-based systems, with the ability to learn new software, platforms, and processes. Ability to maintain confidentiality and work professionally in a high-volume, client-facing environment while following established procedures and requirements. Preferred Qualifications Experience in mortgage servicing, banking, financial services, law firm, real estate, or administrative environments. Experience with foreclosure, bankruptcy, high-volume document processing, case management systems, or client portals.
