Welder

Job TitleDouble E Group is an international market leader in the engineering and manufacturing of web handling, material handling, and converting solutions.This position is responsible for working with all areas of production to provide a top tier product for our customers. In this role, you will weld metal components together, fabricate, or repair products according to layouts, blueprints, or work orders, using brazing and variety of arc and gas welding equipment.What You'll DoPrepare stock for weldingProduce welded fabrications to engineering drawings and specificationsAssist in fabrication design reviewsOperate the pipe driller, shower polisher, weld-a-round, and weldersOperate hand grinders, drill presses, sand blasters, TIG & MIG welders, stick welders and plasma torchesProperly document materials used and job progressSafely use and handle welding gases and materialsSafely operate the overhead crane, and other lifting equipment, with safe and proper load managementProperly dispose of wastes created by the welding processesMaintain a clean and safe work areaMaintain well kept and safe toolsClean-up and maintain equipment usedOther tasks as assigned by supervisorRequirementsAble to use basic measuring toolsAble to perform basic arithmetic calculations (+, -, *, /)Knowledge of welding materials and practicesAble to operate and maintain wire feed, stick, and gas welding equipmentAble to read work instructions and keep required recordsAble to read mechanical drawingsAble to layout, drill, and tap holesEager to continue to learn and developAbility to lift up to 50lbsYou are a reliable, dependable team playerWilling to work overtime as neededEducation and ExperienceHigh School diploma, GED, or related trade school experience3-5 years' experience in a similar roleComfortable working in a fast-paced environmentBonus PointsFamiliarity with lean and continuous improvement helpful but not required
