Accounting Coordinator

We are seeking an accounting professional to handle core financial operations and help support our office’s overall workflow.Position OverviewThis position is responsible for managing the full cycle of accounts payable (AP) and accounts receivable (AR), maintaining QuickBooks, assisting with vendor management, and supporting payroll and purchasing functions. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, highly organized, and experienced in construction or manufacturing environments.Key ResponsibilitiesAccounting & QuickBooks (80%)Manage all AP/AR functions: enter bills, issue payments, apply payments, and track outstanding balancesPrepare and send customer invoices and follow up on receivablesPerform reconciliations (bank accounts, credit cards, vendor statements)Maintain accuracy in QuickBooks (classes, job costing, chart of accounts)Monitor and manage purchase orders and receiptsAssist with weekly payroll data prep (hours, timesheets)Support monthly close and basic financial reportingAdministrative & HR Support (20%)Assist with new hire paperwork and onboarding setupMaintain employee files and time-off trackingLiaise with benefit providers for enrollments and questionsHelp with general office operations (filing, recordkeeping, licenses, etc.)Qualifications4+ years in AP/AR or general bookkeepingStrong experience with QuickBooks (required)Understanding of job costing or class-based accounting (preferred)Proficient in Excel and digital filing systemsComfortable communicating with vendors, customers, and team leadsExperience in construction, cabinetry, or manufacturing is a plusPreferred AttributesSelf-starter with strong follow-throughDeadline-oriented and highly organizedAble to work with limited supervision in a fast-paced environmentProfessional, discreet, and approachableCompensationDepending on experience and qualificationsPaid time off, holidays, and health benefits after 90 daysGrowth opportunities within a stable, growing company
