We help businesses and municipalities reduce and divert waste, lowering disposal costs and fueling local supply chains by ensuring materials are recovered, recycled, and reused.The Heavy Equipment Mechanic will perform routine maintenance and servicing of equipment and trucks, including but not limited to diagnostics, inspections, parts replacement and system overhauls.Shift: Monday-Friday 7AM-4:30PM (Job Type: Full-time) | Location: Plant City, FLBenefits:Health, Dental, Vision insuranceFSAVacation Time401k matchingEmployee Assistance ProgramPaid Parental LeaveTuition ReimbursementResponsibilities:Reasonable accommodation may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform these essential functions.Inspecting trucks, cranes, bulldozers, and other heavy equipment for proper performanceDiagnostics using computerized testing equipmentEnter data in maintenance management systemCleaning, lubricating, and conducting routine servicesCleaning and servicing of machine attachments, such as winches, blades and side booms.Perform major repairs when necessaryReport damaged or faulty equipment, including safety concerns/hazards or defects to leadership on site when identifiedPerform emergency repairs in the fieldPerform other job-related duties as assigned.Minimum Job Qualifications:High School diploma or GED preferredState issued, valid Driver's LicensePreferred Job Qualifications:One (1) or more years' experience with heavy equipment maintenance required, including diesel engine repair, preferably in the compost industryKnowledge of location and function of major parts and systems on light & heavy equipmentProficient understanding of federal, state, and local job site health and safety rules, regulations, and best practicesAbility to perform preventative maintenance and minor repairs on equipmentProficiency with tools, machinery, and repair equipmentAbility to perform routine visual and manual inspections to identify leaks, wear, and potential issuesKnowledge of PM schedules and documentation for heavy machineryAbility to use company maintenance softwareRecordkeeping skills for maintenance logs, inventory, and service historiesCommunicate effectively with team members and external customersAbility to work independently with minimal directionAbility to be a team-player for overall company successWorking Conditions and Physical Requirements:Normal work environment is outdoors, with exposure to all weather conditions, dirt, high levels of noise, smells/odors and at times exposure to dangerous and/or toxic substances requiring necessary precautions, including PPE.The physical demands described here are representative of those which must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of the job.Manual dexterity and hand-eye coordination necessary to utilize tools and other equipment necessary to perform job dutiesAuditory and visual acuity to monitor surroundings, equipment sounds, and safety signals (with or without corrective devices).Frequent walking, standing, bending, stooping, climbing, and kneeling required in outdoor and uneven terrain environments.Tolerance to work in environments with strong odors, dust, humidity, and varying weather conditions (hot, cold, wet), and handle oils, fuels and other necessary liquids/chemicals.Must be able to lift, push, pull, and carry up to 35 pounds regularly, and up to 50 lbs. with assistance.EEOC: Circular Services is an Equal Opportunity Employer and Prohibits Discrimination and Harassment of Any Kind: Circular Services is committed to the principle of equal employment opportunity for all employees and to providing employees with a work environment free of discrimination and harassment.
