The Product Owner manages Scrum teams to translate the product vision into design, development, and delivery for high-impact consumer-facing (B2C) applications. This role guides the team through the product backlog to build intuitive, engaging, and high-performing digital customer experiences, balancing consumer needs, commercial objectives, technical feasibility, and budget.(This position is located on-site in Springfield, MO and is not open to remote work)Responsibilities and DutiesTake responsibility for all aspects of the consumer product lifecycle from discovery and feature delivery to post-launch optimization ensuring an engaging end-to-end B2C customer journey.Translate product vision, business goals, and customer feedback into clear user stories, acceptance criteria, and prioritized backlogs for cross-functional Agile Scrum teams.Analyze and evaluate the feasibility, usability, and commercial impact of proposed features and consumer experiences, collaborating closely with UX/UI design, engineering, and marketing teams.Research and monitor key B2C digital performance metrics (e.g., conversion, retention, funnel drop-off, NPS) and market trends to identify continuous opportunities for customer experience optimization.Execute product delivery plans, manage sprint schedules, proactively identify risks/dependencies, and communicate progress and launch dates to business stakeholders.Plan, schedule, and coordinate software release cycles to ensure regular, high-quality feature delivery that delivers value to the consumer base as early as possible.Actively manage, groom, and reprioritize the product backlog to maximize engineering velocity and optimize business and customer value.Investigate emerging consumer technology trends, digital behavior patterns, and competitor benchmarks to evaluate their potential application within the consumer product ecosystem.Deliver baseline assessments and post-launch analyses to measure adoption, track ROI, and assess the realization of projected customer and business benefits.Build and maintain a rolling product feature roadmap aligned with broader B2C marketing, growth, and business milestones.Demonstrate core product capabilities and new consumer-facing features to internal stakeholders, executive leadership, and support teams to drive alignment and readiness.Develop professional capabilities through ongoing coaching, industry best practices, and relevant Agile/Scrum certifications while staying current on consumer digital product trends.SkillsRequired:B2C Product Strategy & Execution: Proven ability to manage consumer-facing web or mobile products to maximize user acquisition, engagement, and retention.Agile & Scrum Leadership: Hands-on experience operating as a Product Owner in a Scrum environment, including story mapping, backlog grooming, sprint planning, and sprint reviews.Data-Driven Prioritization: Ability to analyze web/app analytics, customer feedback, and A/B test results to inform roadmaps and decision-making.Stakeholder Alignment: Strong communication skills to clearly articulate product rationale, trade-offs, and progress across marketing, operations, and technical teams.Risk & Release Management: Proactive identification and mitigation of release bottlenecks, scope shifts, and technical dependencies.Value & Impact Measurement: Proficient in defining and tracking key product KPIs (e.g., DAU/MAU, conversion rates, customer satisfaction metrics).O’Reilly Auto Parts has a proven track record of growth and stability.
