Associate Attorney

Junior Associate Attorney TonaLaw is seeking a motivated and growth-oriented Junior Associate Attorney to join our team. This role is ideal for an attorney with at least two years of experience in personal injury and/or no-fault collections who is eager to develop litigation skills, gain courtroom experience, and grow within a fast-paced firm. Candidates must live in New York and be admitted to practice in New York. You will work directly under two senior attorneys and be actively involved in all phases of personal injury cases from pre-suit through litigation, as well as no-fault collection cases from case assignment through arbitration/trial. Compensation Benefits Competitive salary (based on experience) Health insurance 401(k) with employer contribution Paid time off and firm holidays Hybrid work flexibility after onboarding Responsibilities Draft pleadings, motions, discovery demands and responses, legal correspondence, and appellate filings Maintain regular communication with clients regarding case status and next steps Prepare for and appear at arbitrations, court conferences, motions, depositions, and other routine proceedings Manage personal injury cases from intake through resolution, including legal research, case analysis, and case strategy development Collaborate with attorneys, operations managers, and team members to manage caseloads, calendars, fee scheduling, and litigation strategy Review medical records, liability issues, and damages to support case evaluation, negotiation, and settlement efforts Conduct and defend depositions of party and non-party witnesses and assist with trial preparation Qualifications Comfortable managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment Highly organized with strong attention to detail At least 2 years of legal experience (Personal Injury and/or No-Fault Collections experience a plus, but not required) Active admission to the New York State Bar Eagerness to learn, develop litigation skills, and grow within the firm JD from an accredited law school is required Strong writing and analytical skills Compensation $100,000 DOE About TonaLaw At TonaLaw, we specialize in personal injury litigation, trials, and no-fault collections, and we are relentless in pursuing justice for clients.
