The estimated annual base salary range for this position is $113,740 -$150,647.2. Individual pay within this salary range is determined by several compensable factors, including performance, knowledge, job-related skills and experience, and relevant education or training. As a Staff Manufacturing Engineer, you’ll be crucial in ensuring smooth operations and supporting our diverse team.The Manufacturing Engineering team within the Fuse Products Value Stream plays a critical role in driving innovation and operational excellence across our assembly processes. As a Staff Manufacturing Engineer, you will take ownership of assigned product lines, leading efforts to develop, implement, and continuously improve assembly processes that ensure safe, high-quality and efficient production. This role offers the opportunity to work cross-functionally with teams including Assembly, Quality Assurance, Production Planning, Product Engineering, Facilities and Maintenance in a collaborative environment. You will report directly to the Manager-Manufacturing Engineering and contribute meaningfully to the success of the Fuse Products Value Stream. Key Responsibilities:Specifying, developing, and procuring production equipment by applying validation planning methodologies, including Factory Acceptance Tests (FATs) and Site Acceptance Tests (SATs)Designing efficient layouts and workstations to optimize flow of people, material, and information across the production environmentLeading hands-on root cause analysis and problem solving for assembly-related issues using structured 4-step problem solving techniquesCreating and maintaining comprehensive assembly process documentation for fuse products, including process flow diagrams, process specification procedures (SOPs/work instructions), routings, and value stream mapsSupporting quality and risk management by contributing to PFMEAs, assembly control plans inspection specifications and statistical process control (SPC) systemsCollaborating cross-functionally with design, quality, and production teams to ensure seamless integration of new equipment and processesDriving continuous improvement initiatives to enhance safety, quality, and productivity within the Fuse Products Value StreamCoaching and mentoring less experienced team members to build capability across the teamUnderstanding and complying with all applicable company policies and rulesWhat you’ll Need To Succeed:Job Requirements (To select this job at a minimum you must have the following):Bachelor’s degree in an engineering discipline (Manufacturing, Industrial, Mechanical, or Quality Engineering or Engineering Technology preferred)7-10 years of professional tenure (or Master's Degree and 5-7 years of professional tenure)Experience in a medium/high volume manufacturing environment for mechanical systemsProven ability to procure, implement and utilize assembly tooling and equipment effectively-experience with projects exceeding $100k preferredHands on experience documenting assembly processes, including creating clear and accurate work instructionsStrong communication skills with the ability to engage large groups and drive alignmentDemonstrated collaboration skills, working across multiple teams to solve complex problemsProficiency in the Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Visio, PowerPoint, Outlook)Goal oriented mindset, emotional intelligence and resilience in dynamic environmentsAbility to embrace diversity and equity to actively contribute to a respectful and inclusive workplaceMajor Physical Demands:Standing: Many tasks are performed in a standing position.
