Summary of Position: The Accessibility Facilitator serves as a key member of the Disability and Accessibility Resource Center (DARC) team, providing leadership and operational oversight for accommodated testing, assistive technology, and accessibility services. This position oversees the daily operations of accommodated testing, including exam scheduling, proctoring, and coordination with faculty to ensure equitable testing experiences for students with disabilities. This position assists the Director with departmental operations to ensure the continuity of DARC services. The anticipated start date of this position is September 2026. However, this is an estimated date and can be revised if needed. The selected candidate for this position must be authorized to work in the United States at the time of hire without employer assistance or sponsorship now or in the future. The university will not assist with any F-1 EADs, OPT, H-1 B, etc.

Required Education: Bachelors Degree required or 4 years equivalent experience.
Required Work Experience: Experience in one or more of the following areas: assistive technologies, disability services, disability accommodation, student services, student affairs, counseling, or social work.

Additional Education/Experiences to be Considered: Understanding of accessibility and disability services in higher education Knowledge of the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) Knowledge of trends and issues in higher education, specifically disability services and accommodations Experience working with students in a higher education setting Proven ability to investigate, organize, deliver, assess and remodel services Understanding of student development, high impact practices, and student success work in a university setting Track record of successful service Experience working successfully as a member of a team Outstanding interpersonal skills with the ability to establish positive and respectful working relationships with students, staff, and faculty
Essential Duties/Responsibilities: Testing Center Oversight: Prepare, schedule, proctor, and return exams completed in DARC Develop and maintain all testing processes and procedures Direct/educate DARC staff on testing processes and procedures Collaborate with faculty on all things regarding accommodated testing Oversee and provide support to testing processes and procedures Perform document remediation or reformatting exams as necessary for use with assistive technology/adaptive equipment Assistive Technology Implementation & Vendor Relations: Manage vendor agreements and maintain partnerships, contracts, and all things vendor related Educate, train, and promote assistive technology to faculty, staff, and students Serve as primary DARC contact for technology-related issues (including but not limited to case management software, notetaking software, and screen reader implementation and maintenance) Partnerships/Collaboration: Represent DARC at various on-campus events, institutional committees, and task forces as deemed appropriate by the Director Collaborate with on-campus partners to ensure accessibility across campus as deemed appropriate by the Director Assist with professional development/workshops of faculty and staff around disability issues and assistive technology Assessment & Evaluation: Assist with managing ongoing confidential data collection and analysis Assist with assessment of key programs and services provided by DARC Stay abreast of best practices in disability services Compile general reports, surveys, and questionnaires for annual assessments and evaluations Leadership: Assist in the development of policies and procedures related to disability services and accommodations Assist with ensuring policies and procedures align with legal requirements and best practices Carries out responsibilities in accordance with university policies and applicable laws. Cultivates an environment of belonging that values, respects, supports, and celebrates individual similarities and differences, allowing students, faculty, and staff to thrive authentically. Support, promote, and develop university student enrollment and retention initiatives. Any other duties assigned within the position classification area.
