Founded in 2013 and headquartered in Washington, PA, CB Mining focuses on product support for Longwall mines. Established from part of the Caterpillar mining group, CB Mining has grown from 2 locations in Washington, PA to now 4 locations, with additions in Marion, IL and Tuscaloosa, AL. We provide customers with rebuild services, CST gearbox rebuilds, welding and fabrication services, service exchange units, custom‑made cabling solutions, life‑cycle services including oil sampling and vibration analysis, robust inventory support, compatibility services and underground technical support. We look forward to seeing you as a potential member of our expanding team. Desired Skills Project Management Familiar with Electronic and Hydraulic Test equipment. Computer skills: Understanding of Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint. Ability to communicate effectively, write technical work and repair procedures. Primary Responsibilities Ability to read and understand schematics both electrical and hydraulic. Ability to read and use a multimeter and tape measures. Ability to solder and desolder. Ability to use basic hand tools, power tools, and sandblaster. Ability to communicate with supervisor. Ability to create parts lists based on reuse and salvage guidelines. Analyze results of the tests to locate and determine the cause of the malfunction. Study the inter‑relation of the various controlling circuits and plan tests for the individual control circuits and components. Conduct a series of involved functional and operational tests on components. Troubleshoot and repair a variety of multi‑purpose electronic and/or electro‑hydraulic control systems for underground mining equipment. Must be able to work overtime as needed. Physical Ability As a Shop Technician you are required to work in an industrial environment which includes exposure to significant environmental conditions. Physical requirements include: Overall stamina, standing on your feet for 10 hours. Sitting, standing, climbing, walking, lifting, pulling, and/or pushing. Carrying, grasping, reaching, stooping, crouching, listening, and speaking. Must have good motor coordination skills, coordination of eyes, hands, and feet. The workplace environmental conditions include subject to noise, heat, cold, injury exposures, and atmospheric exposures. Must be able to lift 50 pounds.
