Shift: 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM

Unit Specifications
Unit: Medical Oncology
Location: City, State
Number of Beds: 33
Patient Ratios: 1:6
Staffing:
- Unit secretary available from 7 AM - 11 PM
- 3 CNAs for 33 patients
- Charge RN on each shift
- Clinical Manager and Director supervision
Equipment and Documentation
- Electronic white boards
- iPhones with iMobile
- Remote telemetry
Documentation System: Meditech
Scheduling Requirements
36 hours per week with every other weekend as needed. Travelers are the first to float.
Patient Experience Requirements
Hourly rounds are required during day shifts, with rounds every 2 hours after 9 PM.
Certifications and Skills
Mandatory Skills: A patient-first attitude.
- Advanced Skills: Inpatient chemotherapy administration by core nursing staff with ONS chemotherapy training.
- Preferred Certifications: Med Surg, Palliative Care, ONS
Dress Code
Uniform: Pewter scrubs and white. Any combination welcome.
