Data Platform Principal Engineer

Salary: $61,000 - 101,000 per year Requirements:

• We require formal software engineering training or certification with 7+ years of applied experience for NAMR/APAC regions, including India, LATAM, and Hong Kong.
• We require formal software engineering training or certification with advanced applied experience for EMEA and LATAM-Brazil regions.
• We require practical, hands-on experience delivering system design, application development, testing, and operational stability.
• We require expertise in one or more programming languages.
• We require demonstrated experience designing and leading adoption of agentic AI-enabled development practices across teams, using enterprise-authorized tools within our work environment.
• We require strong understanding of responsible AI use and control expectations in engineering workflows, including security, resiliency, data sensitivity, and risk-based governance.
• We require experience applying expertise and new methods to solve complex technology problems across one or more technical disciplines.
• We require the ability to present and communicate effectively with senior leaders and executives.
• We require understanding of the business.
• We require practical cloud-native experience.

• We create complex, scalable coding frameworks using appropriate software design patterns.
• We develop secure, high-quality production code and review and debug code written by others.
• We architect and govern agentic AI-enabled engineering workflows to improve delivery speed, code quality, and operational outcomes at scale.
• We define guardrails for validation, security, resiliency, and reuse across teams.
• We apply knowledge of Software Development Life Cycle tools, including enterprise-authorized AI-assisted development and automation capabilities, to increase the value delivered by automation at scale.
• We advise cross-functional teams on technology matters within our area of expertise.
• We serve as the functions go-to subject matter expert.
• We contribute to the development of technical methods in specialized fields in line with current product development practices.
• We build durable, reusable software frameworks that can be leveraged across teams and functions.
• We influence leaders and senior stakeholders across business, product, and technology teams.
