Receiving Technician / Customer Service Representative

Location: Atlanta, GA

Starting Pay: $20.00 - $22.00

Schedule: Monday - Friday, 8:30AM - 5:00PM

Job Summary Support receiving and shipping by processing inbound receipts, preparing outbound shipments, maintaining accurate documentation, and resolving issues such as missing packages, short shipments, and misdirected deliveries.

Responsibilities

• Create and process shipping labels
• Pack and ship outgoing packages; confirm contents and documentation
• Receive inbound deliveries; verify count and condition; enter receipts in the system
• Maintain packing slips and shipping and receiving records for audit readiness
• Research receipt exceptions and update records; coordinate with couriers and internal teams
• Respond to customer inquiries on shipment status and delivery issues
• Log shipment activity, exceptions, and corrective actions
• Support basic inventory checks and keep dock and work areas clean and organized

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required
• 6+ months experience in receiving, shipping, warehouse, mailroom, or customer service preferred
• Strong computer skills and ability to work in multiple systems
• Strong written and verbal communication skills

Essential Functions

• Must be able to remain in a stationary position and move or traverse throughout the facility as needed
• Must be able to operate and use computers, printers, scanners, label printers, and copiers
• Must be able to frequently move, transport, and position packages; may lift up to 50 pounds with or without reasonable accommodation
• Must be able to communicate and exchange accurate information verbally and in writing

Work Environment

• Primarily indoors on a receiving dock with adjacent office or staging areas
• Work near others; may be exposed to dock equipment, noise, and temperature changes near dock doors
