LPN | Licensed Practical Nurse - Employee Health

Join a dedicated healthcare team providing professional nursing care focused on employee health within a regional healthcare system in the Central Plains of the United States. Under the guidance of licensed nursing staff, you will plan and deliver nursing care to team members, ensuring their well-being and safety.

Essential Responsibilities

• Perform nursing acts within the scope defined by the licensing board.
• Administer treatments, medications, and vaccinations as required.
• Compile and maintain reports related to workplace injuries or illnesses.
• Develop and implement program protocols and serve as a liaison between healthcare practitioners and internal/external stakeholders.
• Complete accurate and timely documentation following organizational policies.
• Adhere to privacy and security regulations concerning Protected Health Information (PHI).
• Maintain effective communication and professional relationships with patients, team members, physicians, and external agencies.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.

Education

Graduate of an accredited Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) program.

Experience

Previous experience in a similar healthcare environment is preferred but not required.

Licenses and Certifications

• Current BLS/CPR certification from an approved provider within 30 days of hire or by the end of orientation.
• Licensed Practical Nurse credential from the appropriate state nursing board or a compact state.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

• Understanding of diverse health effects, illnesses, and accidents related to specific job functions.
• Basic computer proficiency.
• Strong multitasking and prioritization skills.
• Effective communication abilities.
• Ability to apply patient care principles.

Physical Requirements

Medium work involving occasional exertion up to 50 lbs and frequent exertion up to 10 lbs. Expect to stand or walk 26-50% of the workday. Accommodations may be provided as needed.
