Class A OTR Driver/Lease Owner

DSL Express and partners are now hiring Class A CDL Solo Truck Drivers for OTR and teams! Company drivers with 2+ years of experience and a decent MVR/PSP score. Position available ASAP. Pay is performance based and we offer percentage pay at 30% with the option to switch to miles pay. Every solo driver here is making well over $100k per year and some towards $140k when working year‑around. Preferred Percentage Based Solo Driver Pay: Up to 30% line haul plus bonuses. In the post‑COVID market, drivers drive less and make more. Average pay in the slow season is usually between $1,900 to $2,100 with some rare best weeks about $2,400+ and a rare slow week about $1,500. Average pay in the peak season is usually between $2,100 to $2,400 with some rare best weeks about $2,700+ and a rare slow week about $1,900. Average miles on percentage pay is reduced on purpose. We save fuel and our contracts make more by the mile. Usually 2,000 to 2,500 miles in the slow season and up to around 3,000 in busy seasons. Standard Miles Based Solo Driver Pay: Every driver can switch any time to up to 60 cents plus bonuses depending on experience and MVR (up to 65¢ for manual drivers). Average miles when doing miles pay is anywhere between 2,500 and 3,600 per week. The average gross income is roughly $1,600 to $2,400 legal max per week per driver. A bit less for automatic‑only drivers. Team Driver Pay (Miles Based Pay Only): Team drivers must have a team member. Up to 75 cents per mile plus bonuses depending on experience and MVRs of the team. Average miles for team drivers is anywhere between 5,500 and 7,000 per week. The average gross income is $4,100 to $5,200 per week total split, roughly $2,000 to $2,600 per week per team driver. Currently the market is not team‑based. Solos on percentage generally do better. Must have a clean MVR and reasonable PSP report. Dry vans or refrigerated work available. No touch freight. Location is flexible. Driver Requirements Truck driving is demanding; must be healthy, willing, and able to work. Minimum of 2 years of driving experience. Valid CDL Class A with no pending suspensions. Must be comfortable with modern ELD systems. Must pass a drug test. No acceptions. Valid medical card required. Stable work history and good references. No more than 3 moving violations or accidents in the last 3 years. No failed or refused drug or alcohol tests in the last 4 years. No DWI’s, DUI’s, or BAC’s in the last 4 years. No reckless driving convictions in the last 3 years. No license suspension or unpaid tickets in the last 3 years. No more than 2 moving violations in the last year.
