• Creation of sales quotes for standard stock and special/large competitive projects

• Technical aptitude and/or understanding of product offering to provide selection advice and specification information to customers

• Knowledge of terms and conditions, pricing strategies and sales processes

• Maintain and update knowledge on new products, promotions and sales initiatives

• Communication with outside sales staff to coordinate quotes and assist with closing orders

• Works with Customer Service to make sure orders are processed and shipped in a timely manner

• Use of CRM database to create or maintain accounts, contacts, quotes, and/or opportunities

• Ordering coordinate shipment for sales samples

• Organization of desk to ensure proper handling by assigned backup personnel
