Rocky Hill Public Schools School Nurse/Float Nurse

Rocky Hill Public Schools is seeking a full-time school nurse for the 2026-2027 school year. The salary range is $46.72/hour to $57.84/hour. Please include current RN license, resume, and three current letters of reference with application. Preference given to candidates able to work in the Extended School Year (ESY) program.

Skills, Knowledge, Qualifications and Experience:

• Graduate of an accredited school for registered nurses
• Successful experience as a school nurse preferred but not required
• Experience with nursing procedures (seizure protocol, tracheotomy, G-tube feeding, catheterization, diabetic care, etc.) highly preferred
• Knowledgeable of school health procedures including state and federal mandates
• Desire and demonstrated ability to work with school-aged children

Certification Requirements:

• Current and valid State of Connecticut Registered Nurse license
• Current and valid CPR certification

Physical Demands:

• Requires the ability to sit/stand/pivot, twist and change position frequently
• Requires the ability to occasionally lift, push, pull and carry 20 to 50 lbs
• Requires the ability to utilize telephone, laptop computer and clinical equipment
