Diesel Mechanic
Seeking a Diesel Mechanic for a well-established company!
Job duties include:
- Responsible for performing inspections, services, repairs, and major rebuilds on all forms of mobile equipment
- Ability to do preventive and predictive maintenance
- Accurate record keeping and extensive use of OEM manuals are required
- Will gather any or all write-ups, look for pre-shift inspections
- Checklist of duties
- Area inspection of work area daily
- Monthly hour meter inspections of mobile equipment
- Help count inventory and assist with inventory management
- Assist associates when needed with a mobile equipment problem
Requirements:
- High School Diploma Degree in Diesel Mechanics or equivalent experience
- Experience with repairing trucks, heavy equipment, and utility vehicles
- Ability to operate and train operators
- CDL air brake license is a plus
- Basic computer skills required
- Strong judgement and decision making skills
- Knowledge of basic stick/wire feed welding
- Knowledge of 12 and 24 volt electrical systems
- Required to provide own tool set
- Must be able to receive clearance for respirator protection
- This position requires heavy lifting, bending, stooping, and climbing
