Job DescriptionJob DescriptionAccountants One is partnering with a growing construction contractor based in the Northeast Atlanta metro area, seeking an experienced Financial Controller. This role will oversee all aspects of financial management, including corporate accounting, financial reporting, job cost tracking, budgeting, forecasting, and the development and implementation of internal controls and policies.,Key ResponsibilitiesOversee all accounting operations, including Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable, Job Cost Accounting, Inventory Accounting, Payroll Review, and Revenue RecognitionSupervise and mentor a team of two accounting staff membersLead the preparation of budgets and financial forecasts, and report on variancesManage the month-end and year-end close processes to ensure accuracy and timelinessPrepare and distribute monthly financial statements and management reportsMonitor and forecast cash flow to ensure adequate liquidity and financial stabilityMaintain high standards of quality control over financial transactions and reportingServe as the primary liaison with external tax accountants and auditorsEnsure compliance with all local, state, and federal reporting and tax requirementsProvide financial analysis and insights to support executive decision-making, identify trends, and improve performanceDevelop, document, and enhance business processes and accounting policies to strengthen internal controlsQualificationsMinimum of 5 years of experience as a Financial Controller with demonstrated staff leadership10+ years of progressive accounting and finance experienceBachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, Economics, or a related field requiredStrong knowledge of GAAP and a thorough understanding of accounting principles and proceduresCPAhighly preferredConstruction industry experience, including at least 2 years in job cost accounting, preferredProficiency with Sage 300 or similar construction accounting software preferred18676\nCompany DescriptionAccountants One is an Accounting and Finance Recruiting and Staffing Firm.
