RN Position Job Notes:

Travel or Local Registered Nurse needed for ASAP start. A minimum of 2+ years of recent hospital bedside experience is required. Candidates must be able to start within 5 weeks. Opportunity for extension upon successful completion of the initial assignment. $750 referral bonus available.

Opportunity:

Registered Nurse - PACU

Job Details:

• Work in outpatient surgery center with PACU responsibilities
• No call, no weekends, no holidays required
• Maximum of 2-3 consecutive weekday shifts
• 2 years of experience in service line required
• Pediatric experience strongly preferred
• Required certifications: ACLS, BLS
• Skills include ambulatory/outpatient care, Phase I PACU, pre/post operative care, dysrhythmia recognition and management
• Experience with narcotics/opioid analgesics, reversal agents, conscious sedation required
• Knowledge of general, local, and monitored anesthesia care (MAC), nerve blocks
• Malignant hyperthermia protocol and pain assessment & management experience
• RASS (Richmond Agitation Sedation Scale) proficiency required
• Experience with ENT, ophthalmology, orthopedics, plastics procedures
• Tonsillectomy, cholecystectomy, abdominoplasty, breast augmentation experience
• Emergency medications and pediatric patient management skills
• Airway assessment and placement of oral/nasal airways
• Travel experience preferred
• Altera charting experience preferred but not required
• Must complete orientation modules averaging 6-8 hours
• Facility conducts mandatory drug screening upon arrival including marijuana testing
