Platform Engineering Manager, Private Hosting Services As Platform Engineering Manager, you will lead and evolve Capital Group’s Private Hosting Services platform as a first‑class product, delivering secure, scalable, and resilient infrastructure capabilities across compute, storage, backup, virtualization, and operating systems. In partnership with Product Management and senior technology leaders, you will define the strategy, roadmap, and adoption of a centralized hosting platform that enables self‑service provisioning, standardized configurations, and engineered “golden paths.” You will ensure the platform empowers teams to provision, deploy, and operate workloads safely and efficiently, embedding security, compliance, and reliability directly into its core capabilities. Responsibilities Lead and evolve Capital Group’s Private Hosting Services platform as a first‑class product, delivering secure, scalable, and resilient infrastructure across compute, storage, backup, virtualization and operating systems. Define strategy, roadmap and adoption of a centralized hosting platform enabling self‑service provisioning, standardized configurations and “golden paths.” Ensure platform empowers teams to provision, deploy and operate workloads safely and efficiently, embedding security, compliance and reliability into core capabilities. Act as the key connector across platform engineering, infrastructure operations, architecture, security and application teams to ensure hosting services are intuitive, scalable and aligned with enterprise standards. Lead the transformation of traditional infrastructure into a fully automated, API‑driven, Infrastructure‑as‑Code‑based service that reduces friction and eliminates manual processes. Build and grow a high‑performing engineering team, fostering a culture of technical excellence, accountability, automation‑first thinking and continuous improvement. Balance strategic direction with hands‑on engagement to meet both current and future business needs. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering or related technical field (or equivalent experience). 10+ years of experience in infrastructure, platform engineering or related disciplines. 5+ years of proven leadership in building, scaling and developing high‑performing engineering teams, including senior and lead engineers. Experience delivering private cloud and hosting platforms that support mission‑critical workloads, with background in compute, virtualization, storage and data protection services. Track record of defining and implementing golden paths, service catalogs and standardized patterns that reduce cognitive load while maintaining flexibility for innovation. Experience adopting AI‑enabled and automation‑first capabilities to reduce operating costs, simplify and scale repeatable operational processes. Strong collaboration skills across Security, Architecture, SRE, Infrastructure Operations and Application Engineering, ensuring platform meets technical and regulatory requirements. Leadership skills at both strategic and technical levels, coaching senior engineers, managing distributed teams and fostering talent development. Outcome‑driven mindset using metrics and data to improve platform performance, focusing on availability, reliability, efficiency and developer experience. Deep experience with Private Hosting tools (VMware, NetApp, Cohesity, Windows, Linux) and DevOps, SRE, platform engineering principles. Executive‑level communication and influence, aligning senior stakeholders and navigating complex organizational dynamics. Experience owning and operating mission‑critical, 24x7 platforms with accountability for SLAs, incident response and service health. Data‑driven leadership approach, leveraging availability and reliability metrics to continuously improve outcomes. Strong record of continuous improvement, operational maturity and cost optimization (FinOps‑aware). In addition to a highly competitive base salary, you will be eligible for an individual annual performance bonus, Capital’s annual profitability bonus, and a retirement plan where Capital contributes 15% of your eligible earnings.
